The Vermillion County
Indiana Historical Society sponsors the Jail museum located in
Newport, Indiana. There are now official hours of Tuesday through Saturday from
1 to 5 or by arrangement. It is a 140 year old building and they have a
large collection of historical articles of local interest - some going back
to the Civil War.
